MESSAGE WITH DEIRDRE…
Happy Friday!! As I meditate on the beach this morning, I am noticing how beautiful the seashells are on the shoreline. They are individually flawless, not one is the same as the other. But some how they all stand out. They compliment each other. The seashells are just like us, we are all unique and shine. So why do we compare ourselves to others? Many clients of mine ask if they should go into a certain business, or write a book, or pursue a love interest. First thing I ask, if your passionate about it, yes, what’s holding you back?? Most often they tell me because they fear competition. I love my sports, so I think competition is good, but don’t let that hold you back from fulfilling your dreams. When people say to me, “aren’t you scared someone is going to steal your idea??” I respond jokingly, if you can find another Deirdre Abrami, please tell her I could use her help!! Bottom line, just be your authentic self, go with your gut, and just do it. Remember there is only one unique you, the world is waiting…
