Happy Tuesday!! Today’s meditation was so calming. I woke up feeling initially rushed and not centered. But once I sat and meditated at the beach, this calming presence took over. All anxiety that was present began to disappear. It did not take long to feel connected to my mind, body and soul. When clients come to me with anxiety and I tell them to meditate, most often they are worried about having enough time, or not knowing how to do it properly. First of all, meditation can take just a couple of minutes. I look at the quality of the meditation versus how long. Secondly, you can’t make a mistake. Everyone has their quiet place. I can even meditate while I’m walking. I turn off my phone and connect with nature. One of my favorite meditation places is the shower. Water can enhance your spiritual experience besides relaxing your body. Once you make meditation part of your day, your life will completely change. By feeling and being centered, you can think clearer, your body will feel relaxed and slow down aging. “When researchers at UCLA compared the brains of meditators to non-meditators they found that meditator’s brains were almost a decade younger by the time people reach their mid 50s.”
